Ada cara lain yang lebih efektif, yaitu mematikan fungsi autoplay diseluruh media penyimpanan dengan mematikan fungsi file autorun.inf melalui windows registry.

Download file berikut dan jalankan di Windows anda, bila ada pilihan untuk memasukkan data ke registry tekan Yes.

Untuk Disable autorun.inf : [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Untuk Enable autorun.inf : [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Kedua cara disable autorun / autoplay diatas dapat digunakan untuk mematikan autoplay di Windows XP, Vista, dan 7.
